We had the pleasure of staying for two nights at the cozy Marmalade Hotel during our Isle of Skye Tour. The Chargrill Restaurant, a steakhouse located within the hotel, was our choice for dinner on our first night. The dishes at Chargrill, made from locally sourced ingredients, were presented brilliantly. The restaurant also offered a nice collection of Highland Scotches that added to our dining experience. The only minor 'complaint' we had (if you can even call it that) was the generous portion sizes - one steak came with two free side dishes and they were so ample that we almost couldn't finish our meals! Breakfast was included in the room rate, so we enjoyed breakfast here for two days as well. The wide variety of fresh fruits, eggs, and breads provided us with the warmth and energy needed to start our tour days on a delightful and satisfying note.

A lovely meal. The service was outstanding as was the view. Thanks to the staff for squeezing us in early in the evening without a reservation (a rarity - plan ahead!). Steaks and excellent sides abound. Try the Negroni. Can’t go wrong here. Looking forward to returning.

This place is fantastic. The best meal we had on our trip to Scotland. We arrived without a reservation (worth noting that their online system does not take ‘day of’ reservations). They didn’t answer the phone either, but they had availability and were extremely welcoming. I think we had the best view in the restaurant too. It’s worth noting they are within the ‘Marmalade hotel’ so don’t be shy about entering the building. We ordered the 800 g Ribeye and had a host of side dishes. The wild mushroom and blue cheese millefleurs were amazing. The beer was well worth it, although not cheap. We highly recommend a visit here. The food, service and great wine selection made it the perfect place for our last night in Skye.

We came to the Chargrill restaurant for my other halfs birthday. The restaurant was quiet, but the service was fantastic. They offered me lovely vegan options, excluding dessert. 10/10 for service and 10/10 for the food. Would definitely come back here.

We had an amazing experience at Chargrill! Made a reservation for 6PM and had our pick of the tables so naturally we picked the table with this incredible view. We ordered the Sirloin steak & lemon chicken and both got hasselback potatoes and the walnut salad- everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We even had room for dessert and went with the apple tartin and date cake, yum. Everyone was friendly, nice and attentive. Would recommend to anyone!

Dishes here are amazing! The roasted pork loin we ordered was spot on; the pork’s tender and juicy and seasoned very well. The main dish comes with two accompaniments. My friend and I chose crab croquette, creamed potatoes, and truffle fries. All of them were delicious, especially the truffle fries, definitely the best fries I’ve ever had in my life. We also had some scallops for appetizer, which was great as well. The scallops and the peas were fresh and sweet. Furthermore, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was nice. Overall it was a highly recommended place if you go on a trip to Isle of Skye.

Fabulous. Hands down. Service was top notch. My husband & I loved our meal. The scallops (I didn't get a picture of) were sensational. We shared the beef, chefs kiss. Paired with cocktails & wine. Great dining experience in this town. Absolutely worth driving to.

We visited during the winter, when there were not so many alternatives and we thought that we might not like it because the "good ones" are closed... However that was far from the truth! We were welcomed by a smiley waiter, into a clean, well appointed, cozy dining room. Much much better experience than most places, especially pubs. Food was very good. I don't know if this is quite "fine dining" but the dishes were certainly special and offered a unique tasting experience. Everything prepared correctly with high quality ingredients. Portions were indeed generous and we feel the restaurant offered exceptional value for money. Two people; starter, main, dessert and drink each, came to about 120, that's with a bit of complementary bread and 10% service already in the price. Definitely will visit again!
